Universal Orlando Stroller Policy 2026, What Is Actually Allowed

Most families arrive in Orlando having read about Disney's stroller rules and assume Universal works the same way. It does not. Universal is noticeably more relaxed, and that difference catches people out in both directions. Here is what actually applies.

Universal Does Not Publish a Size Limit

This is the biggest difference. Disney enforces a hard maximum of 31 inches wide and 52 inches long. Universal Orlando does not publish a size restriction on personal strollers at all.

In practice that means the stroller you would be turned away with at Magic Kingdom will usually walk straight into Islands of Adventure. Universal has also historically allowed wagon style strollers, which Disney bans outright.

💡 Universal does not publish a wagon policy either way, so if you are bringing something unusual it is worth checking at the gate rather than assuming. A standard stroller is never a question.

The Trap for Families Doing Both

Here is where it goes wrong. Almost nobody comes to Orlando for only one resort. If your trip includes even one Disney day, your stroller has to meet Disney's rules, because Disney is the stricter of the two.

So the rule to plan around is simple. Pick a stroller that satisfies Disney, and it will be fine everywhere else. Doing it the other way round means bringing something to Universal that gets stopped at Disney's gate.

Disney's limits, for reference:

That last point matters more than people expect. A clip on cup holder or a fan mounted on the handlebar counts toward the measurement.

What Universal Charges to Rent

Rentals are near the front of each park. Current pricing at Universal Orlando:

Worth noting on that last one. An ECV at $75 a day for a week comes to $525. A mobility scooter delivered to your hotel is yours around the clock, at the hotel, at dinner and on your Disney days too.

Where You Park a Stroller in the Parks

Universal has designated stroller parking outside the attractions. Look for the signage rather than leaving it wherever there is space, since team members do move strollers that block walkways.

Always take valuables with you. Leave the ponchos and the spare nappies, take the phones and the wallets.

Things Worth Knowing While You Are There

💡 If you are visiting Epic Universe as well, the rules are the same across Universal properties, but the walking distances are much bigger. It is the largest Universal park in the country.

The Simple Version

Bring or rent a stroller that meets Disney's 31 by 52 inch limit and is not a wagon. It will be welcome at every park in Orlando, and you never have to think about it again.

Policies do change, so check the official park sites before you travel. But that one rule has held for years and it covers you everywhere.
